Aye, Monday again. If anyone knows what sleep is like please let me know. I’ve forgotten.
Friday night passed in a blur of Cider and good tunes. Attic Lights are simply brilliant. Although there was a bit of a haze at that point. Primary 5 are decent, although there were too many of them on stage. Bonus points for an appearance by Duglas Stewart on backing vocals. Dropkick were great, definitely much under-rated. The first band Chapel House Murderers or something (I can’t remember at this point) we’re there, bunch of middle aged fat blokes trying to be trendy. Not too impressed.
I got home (somehow, can’t remember much about it.) There were apparently 2 buses involved as I found the ticket in my pocket the next day. Also probably a taxi from the bus station. I doubt that I walked although its eminently possible.
Saturday saw a shock in that when I went to get my camera out of it’s bag to take the pictures off the camera the memory card slot is broken. No idea how or when it happened but the upshot is that it doesn’t work, and its going to costs £££’s to get it fixed. Not amused with myself at this stage. Hence no pictures from Friday night although they should all be on the memory card.
Wasn’t the best day all round as Rangers beat Celtic to go top of the league by 2 points with 3 games to play. Can’t complain as Celtic could still be playing and not have scored. Even in the proverbial barrel of fannies.
Sunday was just there. Nigh on 3 hours of Prog Rock completed the weekend and another night with a lack of sleep. It’s not that I can’t sleep it’s just that I don’t have time to. Out again tonight to look at a computer for someone. Hopefully won’t take that long and I can have an early night.
Tuesday brings the first of those 3 games that are left. Home to Dundee United who we haven’t beaten all season. Anything less than a win and the league is definitely finished (although I’m pretty sure it already is. I always was a glass half empty kinda guy)
Wednesday is my one night off so planning on doing nothing, well catching up on laundry as I’m running out of clean socks, and the washing is piling up in the wardrobe. There may well be a family of meerkats living in there that I don’t know about.
Then Thursday, Friday and Saturday its back to The Ferry for a night with Benny Gallagher and then two nights of The Vatersay Boys, so all in all another long and hectic week. And I somehow have to get my camera to the shop in amongst all this.
Because of all this hecticness (another new word), the Russia plans have kind of fallen by the wayside. The language books haven’t been opened in a couple of weeks and I’ve saved precisely no money in that time either. Really need to get back on track or I won’t be getting on any tracks this year…
